This week’s announcements

HAPPY BIRTHDAY: to all June birthday celebrants.
BENEDICTION: Our mass today ends with benediction for the feast of Corpus Christi.
DIVINE MERCY DEVOTION: will be held today at St Ann’s Church at 2.30pm, everyone is welcome to attend.
FEAST OF THE SACRED HEART: falls on Friday. We will have Mass at 10am at St Christopher’s and at 6pm at the St Ann’s Chapel.
MEAT FRIDAY: There is no abstinence from meat this Friday because of the Solemnity.
PARISH OFFICE HOURS: Karol is away until 9.30am on Monday, 22nd June 2026. All emails and other requests will be mostly reviewed upon the return to the office on 22nd June 2026. For urgent matters and other concerns, the office phone number will still be reachable as Fr Jude will still be around; however, there may not initially be an answer. Please be patient when attempting to call, and general non-urgent office matters should be delayed until 22nd June 2026.

PARISH SUMMER FAIR: The Parish Summer Fair will be held at St Ann’s hall on the 11th July 2026 between 11am and 2pm. For any donations for the fair, we still need bottles, chocolates, and gift sets etc. Please not we do not need books, CDs or DVDs. Please leave all donations at the back of the churches, or they can be brought to the Parish Office. Raffle tickets for the draw will be on sale from Saturday 27th June at both churches with one strip costing £1. If anyone can also help to set up the stalls on Friday 10th July at 11am, we would be very grateful. Thank you, and please support your parish.
ACWG WHIT WALK: The Ashton Catholic Women's Group, are holding their annual sponsored Whit Walk around Daisy Nook, on Sunday 14th June 2026. If you are able to join them, please collect a sponsorship form, after Mass, at the back of church from one of their members. This year's chosen charity is "The Friends of Tameside Young Carer's." There are over 500 young carers in Tameside, 100 of whom are 12 and under. The charity supports the young carers in their recreation, sport and leisure time activities. The meeting point is outside the cafe at the Daisy Nook Warden Car Park setting off at 1.30 pm. Donations can be made separately. 
FANCY A WALK?: Caritas Salford is organising a 6-mile scenic, circular sponsored hike in Lancashire, along the delightful Downham Trail.  Taking place on 5 September, the walk is an undulating route with the potential for expansive views from the summit of Beacon Fell.
